Free calculator · Website and Cost
Website Cost Calculator.
This free website cost calculator estimates what a website should cost to build from the scope you describe: site type, industry, page count, features and deadline. It returns a cost range in your own currency, with every line item editable and the assumptions shown, so you can hold a quote against it. Nothing is sent anywhere and there is no signup.
Changes the rate the estimate is built on, not only the currency symbol.
8 included in the base. Count unique layouts, not URLs — the rate tapers past ten extra pages, because by then the layouts repeat and only the content is new.
Every agency prices a compressed deadline, because it means overtime, parallel work and a smaller pool of available people.
The starting figure for this site type at your market rate. Type over it if you have a better number.
Every price here is editable. These are the items that quietly double a project when they arrive after the quote is signed.
Add your own line items. A discount goes in as a negative number.
Hosting, updates, backups and small changes. A build quote that omits this is a quote that surprises you in month two.
Estimated build cost
AED 3,168 – AED 5,148
One-off build in AED, at United Arab Emirates market rates. The spread is real: the same brief lands at the low end with a disciplined scope and at the high end once revisions and extra stakeholders arrive.
Not included in this number
- Hosting and domain renewals after year one
- Stock photography or video licensing
- Third-party plugin, theme or platform subscriptions
- Content you have not written yet, beyond the pages in scope
- Copywriting beyond the pages in scope
- Third-party plugin or platform subscriptions
Ask any quote that comes in below this range which of these it covers. That question moves more money than negotiating the headline price.
An estimate, not a quote. It is built from what work at this scope actually sells for in each market — freelance platforms and small studios included, not top-of-market agency rates — reviewed August 2026, and converted at an indicative exchange rate. Anyone quoting far below the low end is usually leaving out content, testing or the second round of changes.

An estimate works from typical scope. A quotation works from yours. Send this breakdown over and you get a fixed price back, from the person who would do the work, within one business day.
What this tool measures
This calculator turns a scope into a cost range. It does not tell you what a specific agency will charge, because that depends on their overheads, their pipeline that month and how well the brief is written. What it does is give you a defensible band to hold a quote against, built from the same inputs an estimator uses: what kind of site it is, how many unique pages it needs, what it has to do beyond publishing text, and which market's day rates apply.
Every number here is derived from a build cost baseline in USD, adjusted by market. The baseline is what this scope actually sells for — freelance platforms and small studios included — rather than a top-of-market agency rate, because that is the range most people reading this are really choosing between. Change the region and the estimate genuinely changes: the same brief does not cost the same in London and Karachi, and the currency symbol is the smallest part of that difference.
How to use it
Start with the site type, since it sets the base. The type is about behaviour, not size: a store with eight products is still a store, because it needs a cart, a payment gateway, tax handling and an order flow. A marketing site with eighty pages is still a marketing site.
Then set the page count. Count unique layouts, not URLs. Forty location pages built from one template are closer to one page of design work plus a data set than to forty pages. If most of your pages repeat a layout, drag the slider to the number of genuinely different ones and add a handful.
Finally, tick what the site has to do. These are the items that quietly double a project when they arrive after the quote is signed: a second language, payments, a booking flow, someone else writing the copy.
How to read the result
The range is not padding. The low end is what the same brief costs when the scope stays fixed, the content arrives on time and one person signs off. The high end is what it costs when there are three stakeholders, two rounds of extra revisions and content that lands three weeks late. Most projects land somewhere in between, and which end you land on is largely decided by you rather than by the agency.
The monthly care figure is separate on purpose. Hosting, updates, backups and small changes are an ongoing cost, and a build quote that omits them entirely is a quote that will surprise you in month two.
If a quote comes in far below the low end, the useful question is not why it is cheap. It is what has been excluded. Usually it is content, testing across real devices, or the second round of changes. Ask for those three specifically.
What to do next
Take the range into your next conversation and ask for the quote to be broken into design, build, content and post-launch. Any supplier who cannot separate those four is quoting a feeling.
If you are about to write a brief, write down the three things the site must do that your current one does not. That single paragraph moves an estimate more than any other information you can supply.
Questions people ask
Why does the estimate change so much by region?
Because agency day rates do. The same twelve week build carries a different labour cost in the UAE, the UK, India and Brazil, and pretending otherwise makes the tool useless outside one market. The feature list and effort are constant, the rate applied to them is not.
Does this include hosting and domain costs?
No. Those sit in the monthly care line, which is shown separately. A domain is a rounding error, hosting is not once you need staging, backups and a CDN.
Is a template cheaper than a custom design?
Up front, yes, and the calculator reflects that. Over three years the difference narrows, because a template that nearly fits gets fought with on every new page type.

- Freelancer and Agency Quote Comparator — once quotes arrive, this shows what each one is silent on, which price alone cannot tell you.
- Project Requirements Brief Generator — answer the scoping questions once, before the first call, and the estimate above gets sharper.
- Hosting and Maintenance Plan Builder — prices the monthly care line properly instead of leaving it as a rounded guess.
